Sustainability

Return reduction

By providing size charts for each product, we aim to minimize returns. Additionally, personalised items cannot be returned because each item is unique.

Our return rate is less than 1%, and we at Le Olive are very proud of that!

Together with our customers, we make a significant contribution to the environment, as they also choose not to dispose their personalised items. They remain 'Lifetime memory products'.

Material selections

We always use high-quality materials to ensure that our collections remain beautiful for years.

In 2022, we launched our first items within the Modal collection. Modal utilizes artificial fibers derived from natural raw materials, and the beechwood used for modal comes from sustainably managed forests.

Within the Le Olive Baby collection, all products are 'Oeko-Tex' certified. This means that garments with an OEKO-TEX® label are environmentally and human-friendly produced. The people who creates the products are not exposed to harmful substances and work in good working conditions.

Furthermore, we provide comprehensive washing instructions for all our items on our website, to ensure that collections last as long as possible and the preservation of quality remains optimal.

Headquarter

We also consider it important to take steps towards sustainability at our headquarters. We are constantly working on how to operate in a more environmentally conscious manner.

We always donate samples to charitable organizations, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Within our office, we minimize the use of paper, opting for digital processes wherever possible.

In our Atelier, many young talents work consciously and with care and attention to our collections. We organize our embroidery processes to minimize errors and thus keep our waste to a minimum.

Heating and cooling are achieved through heat pumps, and we no longer have a gas connection. Starting from 2023, our entire headquarters will be self-sufficient with solar panels. We can proudly say that all our products will be 100% sustainably personalised.

Rainwater from the roof is collected in special tanks and used to flush the toilets. We are environmentally conscious in this aspect as well.

Lastly, in 2022, we replaced all the lights in our headquarters with sustainable LED lighting.

The origin of our products

Sustainability means more to us than just reducing returns and making conscious material choices. We also place a strong emphasis on ensuring our products are made under good working conditions. Since Le Olive does not have its own factories, except for our own embroidery Atelier, we collaborate with factories that use the best materials and maintain optimal working conditions.

Shipments

We strive to use recycled materials as much as possible. This includes our polybags (used for shipping bathrobes) and shipping boxes.

Additionally, we consolidate collection items in one box whenever possible to reduce the number of packages or pack packages as compactly as possible to fit more packages into a delivery vehicle.
